About Us

Florida Hospital Memorial Foundation was established to be the sole entity to solicit funds in Volusia and Flagler Counties in order to support Ormond Memorial, Pennisula, and Flagler Hospital facilities of Florida Hospital -Memorial System. FHM Foundation's primary function is to use the funds raised to support these systems and also to enforce as a third party beneficiary the covenants. In October of 2000 the Adventist Health System and the Board of Directors of Memorial Health Systems formed a self-perpetuating, not-for-profit Florida Corporation, Memorial Health Systems Foundation, Inc. and incorporated in October of 2000. A 15-member local community board, 13 of which are local Flagler/Volusia County residents, plus 2 members representing the Adventist serve on this prestigious board. The IRS has approved the 501(C)3 status and the Florida State Dept of Agriculture has granted it solicitation registration approval.
